services are billed in 6 minute increments at the rate of $29.95

What kind of questions can I ask?
You can ask whatever legal questions you
want. We handle civil (non-criminal) matters in California.
What if the attorney cannot help me?
If your question is in an area that we do not
handle, you will not be charged. If we can refer you to another
attorney we will do so.
We do NOT guarantee that we will have an
immediate answer to any question that you may ask. The
nature of law and practice of law is that there are so many
different areas of the law that it is impossible to have an
immediate answer to everything. Basic, common legal
questions are likely to be answered immediately. However,
more in depth issues are likely to require more information and/or
research. Do not be discouraged if you get an answer that
more information or research needs to be done. That is the
nature of the legal beast.
What if I am not from California?
Each state requires that attorneys obtain
a separate license to practice law in that state. We are licensed
to practice law in California only. While many legal principles
are the same or similar in other states, you would be best served
by seeking a consultation with an attorney in your home state,
unless your issue relates to California law.

Can you help me prepare for my small
claims court case?
It is usually cost-effective to spend a
few dollars consulting with an attorney to help you prepare for
your small claims case. Small claims does not permit attorneys to
participate. The side that is better prepared for the hearing can
typically look better to the small claims court judge and be more
likely to win. Therefore, it is usually a good idea to consult
before you have your small claims court hearing.
Can you represent me in court?
Depending on your case, we can represent
you in court. In order to do so we will need to review your case
with you and enter into an agreement for us to represent you. We
have been litigating cases for clients since 1991. It is a process
that we participate in every day. We highly recommend people NOT
representing themselves except in small claims court.
Can you help me fill out legal forms?
We can help you fill out court
forms! Court forms are typically fairly simple after you have
filled them out many times. For the individual faced with court
forms for the first time the task can be daunting.
What if I need research done for my case?
If your issue requires legal research we
will give you an estimate of the amount of time it may take for
your research. You can then decide whether to authorize us to do
the research or not. Because of the varied complexity of legal
cases and issues some cases will require a great deal of research
while others may only require a few minutes or none at all.
